Haqani
Podcast
Meaning both “truthful” and “just,” Haqani looks at injustice in Libya through the prism of real stories told by the people who lived them. Haqani is a space for those who have triumphed over oppression to speak about their experiences. Each season will shed light on a new story as we discuss the law and how to pursue justice and accountability.

Season 5
Welcome to season 4 of Haqani. In this five-episode season, we highlight the stories of brilliant women activists who fight to make their country a better, more just space. This season is more important than ever, as gender equality in Libya is questioned and undermined by authorities battling for power.
In this season, we focus on the issue of online violence against women. We discuss the everyday struggles of women rights defenders, journalists, lawyers, and activists, and how they deal with these challenges. We also explore what keeps them going and what helps them continue their important work, despite the obstacles they face. Join us with our hosts Rawia and Noura Eljerbi as we share these stories of resilience and determination in the face of adversity, aiming to inspire positive change in the fight for gender equality and justice.
