Mizaan features articles on issues facing Libya’s future, such as the Dilemma of Legitimacy in the New Libyan State, as well as interviews of renowned legal figures, Hassan Al-Amin and Albie Sachs. It also presents reflections on Libya’s Constitutional Drafting Assembly elections, from a variety of different perspectives.

“We are privileged and humbled to present such a diverse group of activist and expert voices in this issue of Mizaan, and hope that you will find it to be a thought-provoking discussion of human rights, the rule of law and democracy,” said LFJL Director, Elham Saudi.

“In this testing time for our country, we hope that Mizaan will provide a forum for an inclusive debate on the issue of legitimacy and human rights,” added Saudi. Readers are invited to participate on LFJL’s Twitter and Facebook pages, as well as through the email address mizaan@libyanjustice.org

Mizaan will now be a tri-annual publication and LFJL looks forward to sharing the next issue in the winter.
